Ballpark A to Z
The Gary SouthShore RailCats Baseball Club strictly enforces the following alcohol serving policy: Everyone must be 21 years of age and present positive state-issued photo ID to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. Service will cease at the end of the 7th Inning. The Gary SouthShore RailCats Baseball Club reserves the right to suspend service at any time at the sole discretion of the management and also reserves the right to suspend service to any one individual at any time for any reason.
Certified seeing-eye dogs and/or assistance dogs are allowed into U.S. Steel Yard. No other animals are allowed within the ballpark, unless otherwise permitted by management.
An hour before each home game near the RailCats bullpen along the left field foul line. Pre-game autographs will also take place with the entire team before select games.
Backpacks, diaper bags and other bags are permitted at U.S. Steel Yard, provided they can fit under your seat. Please note that these policies are designed for the safety of all our fans.
BANNERS AND SIGNS
Banners containing advertising are strictly prohibited within the ballpark without prior consent from RailCats management. Fans may display a sign only if it is in good taste and does not pose an inconvenience to other fans. Nothing may be hung over the field side walls where it could interfere with the game.
Birthday parties are available for all RailCats home games. Packages for 10 or more people include food and entertainment. Parties are held in our Luxury Suites. Dates are subject to availability. For more information, call 219.882.BALL.

Jared Shlensky brings you all 100 RailCats games this season on WEFM (95.9 FM) and online at railcatsbaseball.com. Coverage for each game will begin 30 minutes prior to first pitch (e.g., 6:50 p.m. pregame for a 7:10 p.m. first pitch). The pregame show will feature interviews with players and coaches as well as a quick preview of the scheduled game. The postgame show will begin 2-3 minutes after the final out is recorded and will feature a live on-field interview with the player of the game after every home win. The postgame show will also feature audio highlights for every home game, a scoreboard update (American Association & MLB) and a quick preview of the next game. The RailCats will also have a weekly podcast that can be heard on MixCloud. The RailCats podcast will feature interviews with players, coaches and front office staff members, announcements on upcoming games and promotions and a more in-depth look of the team.
Infant changing tables are located in the family restrooms on the concourse level.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The Gary SouthShore RailCats Baseball Club is committed to providing its fans with an enjoyable, safe atmosphere. Our staff will proactively intervene in order to support a family-oriented environment where all guests can enjoy the baseball experience free from the following behaviors:
- Foul or abusive language or gestures
- Intoxication or other signs of impairment
- Inappropriate attire
- Displays of affection not appropriate in a public, family setting
- Disruption of the game or an unauthorized individual on the playing field
- Smoking inside U.S. Steel Yard
If someone interferes with your enjoyment of a game, please contact a staff member for assistance.
The Gary SouthShore RailCats offer both full-season and single-game credentials for covering the team at U.S. Steel Yard during the regular season and playoffs. All credential requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the game that would be covered. To request a media credential, please email Jared Shlensky at email@example.com.
DONATIONS AND CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS
All donation requests should be made in writing and dropped off, mailed or faxed to the Gary SouthShore RailCats at least three weeks prior to the date of the event. Please email all requests to firstname.lastname@example.org. The nature of the request should be accompanied by sponsoring organization and purpose. We apologize in advance that all donation requests cannot be accommodated.
Part-time and game day positions are available at U.S. Steel Yard. Most shifts are during evenings and weekends. Stop by the Front Office located at U.S. Steel Yard to fill out an application starting April 1st.
Interference with a ball in play and trespassing onto the playing field are strictly prohibited by Gary SouthShore RailCats Baseball Club policy. Fans that violate this policy are subject to ejection and/or arrest and prosecution. Please note that these policies are designed for the safety of all our fans.

Eager to serve our fans needs, the Fan Service Representative is available to answer questions and make sure fans are having a great time at the ballpark. The Fan Service Booth is located on the main concourse next to the McShane’s South Shore Depot. Ushers are also available to service our fans and located throughout the seating bowl.

GAME TIMES (STANDARD)

Gates open one hour prior to all game times. Game times are subject to change.
The Gary Southshore RailCats prohibits food or beverage, bottles, cans or containers of any kind brought into U.S. Steel Yard. Infant formula and bottles is the only exception. Fans may exit U.S. Steel Yard at any time. Fans are advised to keep their tickets in the event they need to leave the ballpark and return.
GROUP RATES AND PICNICS
The RailCats offer special group rates starting for parties of 10 or more for all home games. Picnic packages are also available for the 2017 season for parties of 20 or more. For more information on all these packages, please call the RailCats front office at 219-882-BALL.
HANDICAPPED SEATING/WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
Handicapped and wheelchair seating are available in the Box Seats and BBQ Deck, as well as permanent companion seating. Prices are the same as the sections they are located in.
LOST & FOUND
Please report any found items to a RailCats employee or bring them to Fan Services located on the main concourse level.

Parking is available around U.S. Steel Yard. Parking is FREE. Parking is at your own risk. The RailCats, City of Gary and American Association are not liable to any damage incurred due to foul balls or home runs that may travel into the parking areas. Parking Lot Attendants are available to help with any questions you may have.
Gary SouthShore RailCats souvenir programs are available for FREE during the game at the Fan Services booth, McShanes South Shore Depot and Program Stand on the main concourse.
Batted and thrown baseballs are extremely dangerous and may, at any time, enter the seating area. Please keep alert at all times, as the RailCats, City of Gary and American Association are not liable for any accidents that occur incidental to the game of baseball.
Pocket Schedules are available throughout U.S. Steel Yard. You can also find them throughout the NW Indiana area at various locations.
In accordance with the State of Indiana, smoking is not permitted inside the gates at U.S. Steel Yard. This includes the Luxury Suites and Party Decks. Smoking is permitted outside the main gates of U.S. Steel Yard.
A complete line of official RailCats’ merchandise is available at the McShane’s SouthShore Depot located inside the U.S. Steel Yard. Souvenirs may be purchased with cash, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. All mail orders will be subject to shipping and handling charges. The McShane’s South Shore Depot is open during each home game, along with normal office hours, 9am – 4pm Monday - Friday.
