Why did you want to take part in this contest? To have fun, showcase my ability and to get out there and see what I’m capable of doing. Not to mention I’m a huge RailCats fan.
How did you prepare for Fan Fest Tryout? Did not prepare, just have that natural ability to be on the spot.
Why should you be the winner of this contest? I have the charisma and enthusiasm for this competition. My ambitions are high and I give it my all every day.
The RailCats had more than 20 contestants audition at the second annual Fan Fest, February 20 by calling Jay Pecci’s dramatic ninth inning home run in Game Four of the 2008 Northern League Semifinals (you can hear Jordan’s call by clicking above). The three finalists – Galligan, Brandon Vickrey and Mike Elledge were selected by a panel of judges and will each appear on Len Clark’s Lakeshore Drive program in March, and have their profiles posted on www.railcatsbaseball.com.
The winner will be chosen by a fan vote from March 29 – April 2 on www.railcatsbaseball.com, with the winner announced live on 89.1 FM, The Lakeshore that Friday. The single winner will broadcast the RailCats Monday, May 31 game against the Winnipeg Goldeyes live on 89.1 FM alongside RailCats play-by-play voice Andy Viano and will get a chance to co-host Lakeshore Sports Tonight on 89.1 FM, Wednesday, June 2 in advance of that night’s RailCats game.
So tune in Friday at 4 p.m. to find out if Jordan has what it takes to win the RailCats Radio Challenge!
