Lindy Salvi - OWNER

The Salvi family is very excited to become part of the Gary SouthShore Railcats. As lifelong baseball fans, they are enthusiastic about the Railcats organization and the 2008 season.

Pat and Lindy Salvi reside in Lake Forest, Illinois with three of their five sons who are still at home. For over 25 years, Pat Salvi has headed the prominent Chicago Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard law firm. He attended Saint Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota for his undergraduate degree and the University of Notre Dame Law School for his Juris Doctorate. He has published numerous articles in law journals, lectured at many legal seminars and has taught on a regular basis as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University and Notre Dame Law School. Pat is one of the most prominent attorneys in the country and he has consistently been recognized as “Best Lawyers in America”, “Illinois Super Lawyer” and “The Leading American Attorneys of Illinois”. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Saint Mary’s University and Board of Directors of Lake Forest Bank and Trust. Additionally, Pat continues to remain an active member of the Law School Advisory Council at the University of Notre Dame.

Lindy graduated from Saint Mary’s College with a nursing degree and met Pat while attending school in South Bend, Indiana. While raising their five sons, Lindy became an active community volunteer. She has been involved as member, committee chairman, board member and chairman with the following organizations: School of Saint Mary, Junior League of Evanston-Northshore, Carmel Catholic High School, Misericordia Heart of Mercy Homes and St. Patrick Church. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Carmel Catholic High School as the strategic planning chairman.

GENERAL COUNSEL

Their eldest son, Patrick, earned his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Colorado. Patrick received his J.D. Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame. He practices law at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in Chicago and resides in Chicago’s West Loop. Patrick will serve as the General Counsel for the Railcats. Their second son David graduated from Loyola University Chicago. He currently resides in Chicago and joined the RailCats in April of 2008 as the manager of advertising and special projects. Brian, son number three, will be a senior in the fall at the University of Notre Dame. Next is Christopher, who will be a freshman football player at Butler University in the fall. William, last but not least, will be a senior football player in the fall at Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Illinois. Their second son David graduated from Loyola University Chicago. He currently resides in Chicago and joined the RailCats in April of 2008 as the manager of advertising and special projects.

The Salvi family is looking forward to being a part of Gary community as well as the entire Northwest Indiana community as the sole owners of the Gary SouthShore Railcats. As a family business, the importance of welcoming families in a family-friendly environment is a key focus of the organization. Go Railcats!
