After both teams managed just one hit through the first three innings, Fargo-Moorhead jumped in front with a three-run top of the fourth. With Kong moving to the third on the Adams single, Charlie Valerio brought in the final run of the game on an RBI fielder’s choice.

In the seventh, the RailCats took their first lead of the game when Santiesteban recorded an RBI fielder’s choice, scoring Colin Willis. Frank Martinez was safe at second with a throwing error from RedHawks pitcher Trey McNutt. Willis and Martinez hit back to back one-out singles to ignite the scoring opportunity. Gary added on to its lead with an RBI fielder’s choice by Fitzgerald to make the score 5-3.
