During his stint with the Road Warrior Black Sox of the Yinzer Baseball Confederacy, Silber saw his most efficient season since 2014. In five outings, the Raleigh, NC native produced a 2-0 record and boasted a 2.42 ERA, his best ever as a starter. Over a team-high 26 innings pitched, Silber notched his career-best in WHIP, walks per nine, and strikeout to walk ratio. His mark of 34 strikeouts was a team-best, more than doubling the next highest mark of 16.

Silber's professional career began in the Atlantic League with the New Britain Bees. The then-24-year old went 0-1 in one outing in which he recorded 4 innings pitched and a 9.00 ERA.

University of Montevallo

Made 16 appearances as a senior for Montevallo, posting a 9-4 record highlighted by a 3.59 ERA in 15 starts on the year. Silber recorded 102.2 innings pitched and 120 strikeouts, the first time in his career that he eclipsed 100 in either category. His 1.218 WHIP was a college career-best for Silber, in addition to registering 10.5 strikeouts per nine and a career-best 2.9 walks per nine.

Silber made five appearances in his junior season, Montevallo's final year in the Peach Belt Conference. The righty went 1-1 on the year as all five of his outings came in relief. Silber recorded the only two saves of his career in this season while posting a career-best 15.9 strikeouts per nine despite it being coupled with his career worst 23.8 walks per nine.
