Pete Laven

President, Salvi Sports Enterprises

Pete Laven is entering his fifth season as President of Salvi Sports Enterprises, overseeing Pat Salvi-owned franchises made up of the Gary SouthShore RailCats (American Association), Schaumburg Boomers (Frontier League), and the North Shore Navigators (Futures Collegiate Baseball League).

2017 will be Pete's 26th season working in professional baseball, having spent the 13 seasons with the Arkansas Travelers, the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. In 2006, Pete was named Texas League Executive of the Year and was promoted to General Manager in 2007, the position he held through the 2012 season.

Pete's previous stops include the Kane County Cougars (1994),  Albany Polecats (1995) and Piedmont (NC) Boll Weevils (1996-99).

A native of LaGrange, Illinois, Pete graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1991. He and his wife, Holly, and daughter, Kellan, reside in Schaumburg.
