Vincent and Skinner Re-Sign for 2022 

Gary, IN – The Gary SouthShore RailCats have re-signed pitcher Josh Vincent and catcher Marshall Skinner for the 2022 season. Both return for their second professional seasons.  

Vincent, 25 signed his first professional contract with the RailCats on June 28, 2021. He made 9 appearances (all starts) and finished with a 2-4 record. The righty threw 45 innings and struck out 27 batters.  

The Waterford, Connecticut native attended Chowan University and Eastern Connecticut State University. As a collegiate pitcher, he went 16-6 in 29 games (27 starts). He twirled 164.1 innings and struck out 168 batters. 

Skinner, 23 joined the RailCats on June 28, 2021. He saw action in 14 games and caught 92.1 innings behind the plate with 40 put outs, six assists, and no errors.  

The Burnet, Texas native played collegiately at Northwestern State University for three seasons (2019-2021). He started 103 games for the Demons primarily as a catcher, but also started games at designated hitter and first base. The right-hander batted .260 with seven home runs and 42 RBI.
