ALCOHOL POLICY
The Gary SouthShore RailCats Baseball Club strictly enforces the following alcohol serving policy: Everyone must be 21 years of age and present positive state-issued photo ID to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. Service will cease at the end of the 7th Inning. The Gary SouthShore RailCats Baseball Club reserves the right to suspend service at any time at the sole discretion of the management and also reserves the right to suspend service to any one individual at any time for any reason.
ANIMALS
Certified seeing-eye dogs and/or assistance dogs are allowed into Steel Yard. No other animals are allowed within the ballpark, unless otherwise permitted by management.
ATM
For the convenience of our guests, ATM’s are located on the first base side on the concourse and in the team store.
AUTOGRAPHS
Fans may request player autographs before or after any game. Please refrain from asking for autographs during the game.
BAGS
Backpacks, diaper bags, and other bags are permitted at Steel Yard, provided they can fit under your seat.
BANNERS, FLAGS, AND SIGNS
Banners, flags, and signs containing advertising are strictly prohibited within the ballpark without prior consent from RailCats management. Fans may display a sign only if it is in good taste and does not pose an inconvenience to other fans. Nothing may be hung over the field walls where it could interfere with gameplay.
BATTING PRACTICE
Batting practice is closed to the general public. Prior to select games, season ticket holders are given exclusive entry to watch batting and infield practice. For more information on becoming a RailCats season ticket holder, contact the Box Office at 219.882.2255.

Box Office Game Day Hours: 9:00am – end of the 7th inning
Box Office Non-Game Day Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday), Closed (Saturday – Sunday)
BROADCAST PARTNERS & INFORMATION
All regular and post-season RailCats games will be broadcasted live by the WEFM (95.9 FM) and streamed online at railcatsbaseball.com. Coverage for each game will begin 15 minutes prior to first pitch (ex: 6:30 p.m. pregame for a 6:45 p.m. first pitch).
CAT COINS
RailCats Cat Coins can be used to pay for tickets, food, and drinks at The Steel Yard’s concession stands and merchandise at the team store. Cat Coins are available in $1, $5 & $10 increments. Call 219.882.2255 to order your Cat Coins today!
CHANGING TABLES
Infant changing tables are located in the family restrooms on the concourse level.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The Gary SouthShore RailCats Baseball Club is committed to providing its fans with an enjoyable, safe atmosphere. Our staff will proactively intervene in order to support a family-oriented environment where all guests can enjoy the baseball experience free from the following behaviors:
- Foul or abusive language or gestures
- Intoxication or other signs of impairment
- Inappropriate attire
- Displays of affection not appropriate in a public, family setting
- Disruption of the game or an unauthorized individual on the playing field
- Smoking inside The Steel Yard
If someone interferes with your enjoyment of a game, please contact a staff member for assistance.
CREDENTIALS
The Gary SouthShore RailCats offer both full-season and single-game credentials for covering the team at The Steel Yard during the regular season and playoffs. All credential requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the game that would be covered. To request a media credential, please email us at [email protected].
DONATIONS AND CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS
The Gary SouthShore RailCats are excited about helping local organizations in Northwest Indiana and beyond raise money for many types of benefits and projects. All donation requests should be made in writing and dropped off, mailed, or faxed to the Gary SouthShore RailCats at least three weeks prior to the date of the event. The nature of the request should be accompanied by sponsoring organization and purpose. We apologize in advance that all donation requests cannot be accommodated. FAN INTERFERENCE
Interference with a ball in play and trespassing onto the playing field is strictly prohibited by Gary SouthShore RailCats Baseball Club policy. Fans that violate this policy are subject to ejection and/or arrest and prosecution. Please note that these policies are designed for the safety of all our fans.
FAN MAIL
Letters to RailCats players and personnel should be addressed to that individual and sent to the Gary SouthShore RailCats address of 1 Stadium Plaza, Gary, IN 46402.
FAN INFORMATION
Eager to serve the needs of our fans, the Fan Information Representative is available to answer questions and make sure fans are having a great time at the ballpark. The Fan Information Booth is located on the main concourse next to the team store. Ushers are also available to service our fans and are located throughout the seating bowl.
FIRST AID
Please contact a staff member if you are in need of assistance. The First Aid Center is located behind section 111 near the Express Lane.
FOUL BALLS
Fans are welcome to keep any baseball hit or thrown into the stands. Please be aware that any foul ball or home run can cause personal injury. For your safety, please pay attention to the action on the field at all times. Please keep alert at all times, as the RailCats, City of Gary, and American Association are not liable for any accidents that occur incidental to the game of baseball.

Gates open one hour prior to all game times. Game times are subject to change.
GATE POLICY
The Gary SouthShore RailCats prohibits food or beverage, bottles, cans, or containers of any kind brought into Steel Yard. Infant formula is the only exception. Fans may exit The Steel Yard at any time. Fans are advised to keep their tickets in the event they need to leave the ballpark and return.
GROUP TICKETS
Guests interested in bringing a group to the ballpark should contact the Group Sales Department at 219.882.2255 or railcatsbaseball.com. Groups of 10 or more receive discounted tickets. Other group programs include Suite and Party Deck rentals, Picnics, Field of Dreams, and Birthday Parties.
HANDICAPPED SEATING/WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
Handicapped and wheelchair seating are available in the Reserved Seats, as well as permanent companion seating. Prices are the same as the sections they are located in.
INTERNET
Tickets, schedules, merchandise, up-to-the-minute RailCats news, live game webcasts, history, stats, scoreboard, and community news are all available on the team’s official website: RailCatsBaseball.com. Free wireless internet is provided in the ballpark.
LOST & FOUND
Please report any found items to a RailCats employee or bring them to Fan Information located on the main concourse level.
NATIONAL ANTHEM SINGERS
If you are interested in singing the Star-Spangled Banner or O Canada at the home RailCats games, please call 219-882-2255 or email us at [email protected].
OFFICIAL GAME A game is considered official after four-and-a-half innings have been completed if the RailCats are winning or five innings if the RailCats are losing. If a game is postponed prior to being an official game, please hold on to your ticket and listen for announcements regarding the rescheduling of the game.
PARKING
Parking is available around Steel Yard. Parking is FREE in Lot B located outside of the Right Outfield Fence. Parking is at your own risk. The RailCats, City of Gary, and American Association are not liable for any damage incurred due to foul balls or home runs that may travel into the parking areas. Parking Lot Attendants are available to help with any questions you may have.

RAINOUT PROCEDURE
If a game is postponed or canceled in the event of inclement weather, your ticket stub will serve as a rain check to any future regular season game during the current season, subject to availability. Tickets must be redeemed in person at the RailCats Box Office prior to entering the gates for another game.

SCALPING
The City of Gary ordinance prohibits the resale/scalping of tickets within 1,500 feet from the stadium. All violators will be prosecuted.
SMOKING POLICY
In accordance with the State of Indiana, smoking is not permitted inside the gates at The Steel Yard. This includes the Luxury Suites and Party Decks. Smoking is permitted outside the main gates of The Steel Yard.
TEAM STORE
A complete line of official RailCats merchandise is available at the team store located inside the Steel Yard. Souvenirs may be purchased with cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express. All mail orders will be subject to shipping and handling charges. The RailCats team store is open during each home game, along with normal office hours, 9:00 am-5:00 pm on Monday-Friday.
WILL CALL
Tickets may be left at the Will Call Window for others to pick up. Please leave the full name of the person to pick up the tickets along with the date of the game. Will Call is located at the Box Office next to the Main Gate.
