CALENDAR OVERLOADED WITH FANTASTIC FAMILY FUN, FOOD, AND FIREWORKS AS RAILCATS ANNOUNCE 2019 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE
GARY, IN – The Gary SouthShore RailCats promotional schedule is loaded with FANtastic Family Fun as the RailCats kick off the 2019 season at the Steel Yard! Single game tickets go on sale at 10 am on Wednesday, March 27th! RailCats fans can enjoy eight giveaways, twelve fireworks shows, and numerous special events.
“Spring is here and FANtastic Family Fun is right around the corner!” said RailCats General Manager Brian Flenner “Our team has been hard at work during this long cold winter to bring the most exciting promotions to the region! Our entire front office and game day staff are fully committed to delivering the best experience possible!”
Starting with Opening Day on May 21st, the RailCats will have twelve explosive fireworks shows, including every Fifth Third Bank Fireworks Friday game. Don’t miss out on our special Memorial Day Weekend Fireworks Super Show on May 26th! Get in the patriotic spirit with our Kickoff to Independence Day Fireworks Super Show on June 29th and our Labor Day Fireworks Super Show on September 1st!
The RailCats will have four special Festival Days presented by Berey Bros.:
• June 28th & August 17th– AmeriCAN Beer Fest – Celebrate all things America with the first-of-its-kind ALL AMERICAN, ALL CANS beer fest. We will celebrate and explore the depths of domestic beer; PBR, Icehouse, Miller Lite, the Keystone Family, and many more!
• July 13th –Juluau Pig Roast – An All-American pig roast featuring a whole roasted hog on the concourse!
• September 1st – Oktoberfest – A real German hullaballoo at the ballpark with German biers and food. Make sure to wear your lederhosen for this one! The Devil's Trumpet Brewing Company will have a special Early Release of its famed Oktoberfest!
The RailCats welcome a new foe to the league this year – the Milwaukee Milkmen. Named after Wisconsin’s love of dairy, the RailCats welcome them for their first game at the Steel Yard on Friday, August 2nd with Dairy Free Night where the first 500 fans will take home a bottle of So Delicious Dairy Free Non-Dairy Chocolate “Milk!”
The 2019 schedule will feature eight free giveaways for fans:

Don’t miss out on all of the fun at the brand-new Creekside Bar with Pop-Up Bar Wednesdays! Each Pop-Up Bar Wednesday will feature a single day pop culture pop-up bar; including Seinfeld, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Golden Girls, Rugrats, and MUCH MORE! All Wednesday night games will start at a special Happy Hour 6:45pm start time!
RailCats fans will have the opportunity to be here for some special events:

• June 12th – Don’t miss out on the RCS Home Health Fair during the special Youth & Senior Day game presented by RCS Home Health! Bring your youth groups, day camps, and senior centers with a special pre-sale $8.50 ticket that includes a hot dog, chips, and drink!
• July 16th & July 31st – Senior Centers, Assisted Living facilities, and nursing homes don’t want to miss out on additional Youth & Senior Days on July 16th (presented by RCS Home Health) or July 31st (presented by AARP Indiana) featuring a special pre-sale $8.50 ticket that includes a hot dog, chips, and soda!
• July 21st – Join us as we try to break our world record during Christmas in July with the World’s Largest White Elephant Gift Exchange. Bring a wrapped gift to U.S. Steel Yard and you’ll be given a RANDOM wrapped gift in exchange!
