Harrison Francis makes his way back to the South Shore for his second season with the RailCats.

An American Association East Division All-Star in 2022, Francis led the team in strikeouts (95) and finished third in innings (95.0) while going 5-8 during his 20 appearances (18 starts).

The Arizona Diamondbacks took Francis in the 4th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft from Lawton Chiles High School in Tallahassee, Florida, and they immediately assigned him to their Rookie League affiliate in the Arizona League. He went on to pitch four seasons in their system, most recently pitching for the Visalia Rawhide, their Low-A affiliate. Francis had his best success in 2018 split between the AZL Diamondbacks and short-season Hillsboro Hops. Across two levels, he went 8-0 with a 2.53 earned run average, 60 strikeouts, and a 1.313 WHIP over 53.1 innings and 14 appearances as both a starter and reliever.
