Coming off his first full season as a pro, Eisenbarger heads back to the Steel Yard for his second year with the Gary SouthShore RailCats.

An American Association East Division All-Star selection in 2022, Eisenbarger emerged as the team’s primary closer, logging 6 saves, registering a .225 batting average against and 88 strikeouts in 35 appearances (three starts) spanning 64.2 innings.

Eisenbarger spent five seasons at Division II Rockhurst University, where he dominated his competition as a senior in 2021.  In 12 starts, he went 9-2 with a 3.14 earned run average, 102 strikeouts, 1.13 WHIP, seven complete games, and one shutout in 77.1 innings pitched.  His win and complete game totals topped the Great Lakes Valley Conference en route to an All-GLVC First Team and NCAA Division II Midwest All-Region Second Team selections.  In addition to his individual accolades, Eisenbarger also led the Hawks to the GLVC Tournament.

Upon finishing his career at Rockhurst, Eisenbarger was invited to play in the first-year MLB Draft League for the Frederick Keys.  He did not need much time to make a strong impression as he compiled a 3.38 ERA in eight innings, struck out 11 with no walks, and maintained a 0.75 WHIP.  The RailCats signed him on the back of those strong outings, and Eisenbarger immediately made the jump to professional baseball.

In his first American Association experience, the left-hander impressed, going 1-1 with 24 strikeouts in his 25.1 innings split between the starting rotation and the bullpen.
