Reitz is a 29-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida. When the hurler graduated from Providence High School he committed to playing college baseball at Covenant College. Reitz would make 41 starts over four years, striking out 166 batters, tossing three complete games, and had 14 wins. 

The pitcher would get his first professional job coming out of Covenant by going out West and joining the Tucson Saguaros. Reitz has bounced around pitcher for several different teams in the Frontier and Atlantic League.  

In 2025, Reitz took the mound for three different teams in the Atlantic League. The Hagerstown Flying Boxcars, Gastonia Ghost Peppers, and the Staten Island FerryHawks. His overall stats were 26 games, 8 starts, 74 innings, just nine walks, and struck out 41. In his career, Reitz has gained the reputation of being a strike-thrower with just 78 walks in 311.2 innings worked.
