RailCats Ink Left-Hander Jones 

Gary, IN – The Gary SouthShore RailCats continue to reinforce their pitching corps as they bring in left-handed pitcher Quincy Jones. 

Jones, 26, made his professional debut during the COVID-19 affected 2020 season in the United Shore Professional Baseball League having graduated from William Woods University a year prior.  Splitting time between the East Side Diamond Hoppers, Utica Unicorns, and Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers, he made 12 appearances, fanning 21 batters across 23.1 innings while maintaining a WHIP of 1.200. 

The following season, the Southfield, Michigan native began his journey around the MLB Partner League system and signed with the Great Falls Voyageurs in the Pioneer League.  While there, he emerged as a key cog in their rotation, starting in 35 of his 36 appearances, logging 183.2 innings and striking out 111 batters. 

After finishing the 2022 campaign in the Atlantic League with the Lexington Legends, Jones ventured to the Frontier League to begin the year in 2023, appearing in four games for the New York Boulders.
