(Gary, IN) Another day, another contest against the number one team in the league, the Cleburne Railroaders. The RailCats, on the wrong side of a four-game losing streak, had the former first-round pick, Ethan Hankins pitching in the game.

Cleburne pounced on Hankins in the first inning. With runners on second and third, Carter Aldrete drilled a ball that took one big hop and landed into the bullpen for a two-run automatic double. Aldrete would score after Anthony Abbatine in center fell after catching the ball for a sacrifice fly. Cleburne led 3-0 after one inning.

Hill Alexander would extend the lead for the Railroaders in the top of the second, driving in Jaxx Groshans on a single. The former Railroaders, Guillermo Quintana, would lift a ball out of the stadium for his third home run on the season and the second of the home stand.

Korey Holland would drill a home run off the batter’s eye in the top of the third inning, and Miguel Sierra would drive in the second run for the RailCats and keep them close at a 5-2 game. Alexander would drive in two more runs and that would end the scoring.

A storm rolled in and the weather would led to a cancelation and with the game already being official, the Railroaders won their fourth game in a row this series with the final being 7-2. The RailCats are back in action tomorrow at 4:00 with Tai Tiedemann making the start for the RailCats.

The game will be broadcasted on AABaseball.TV, MIXLR, and WE.FM 95.9.
