Bio
Coming back to the Steel Yard for his second year in his role as hitting coach is Chris Jacobs.
Jacobs was a Los Angeles Dodgers draft pick in 2007 out of Robert B, Glenn High School in North Carolina. The slugger would spend time in the Minor Leagues for the Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, and St. Louis Cardinals.
In 2016, Jacobs played his first year of Partner League baseball with the Sussex County Miners. From 2017 to 2019 Jacobs was playing in the American Association with the Sioux Falls Canaries and then the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.
Jacobs worked in Player Development for the New York Mets from 2022 to 2024, taking on the role as hitting coach for the Brooklyn Cyclones and Development Coach for Triple-A Syracuse Mets.
